Dum Aloo or Stuffed Potato, it is a delicious spicy dish of India. This dish is prepared with the small sized potatoes, onion-ginger paste, tomato gravy and some spices.
Cashewnut paste-2table spoons,
Turmaric powder-1tea spoon,
Red Chili paste-1 table spoon,
Tamarind pulp-1 table spoon,
Coconut paste-3 table spoon,
Curry leaves paste-2 table spoons,
Garlic paste-1 table spoon,
Cooking oil-5 table spoons,
Ghee-1 table spoon,
Salt & Suger
1)First boiled some baby potatoes. Then peel all the boiled potatoes .
2)Heat oil in a pan. Add bay leaves and then add garlic paste and lightly fried it over low flame.
3)Now add all other ingredients ( except potatoes & coconut paste ). Stir for 5/7 minutes.
4)Add potatoes and coconut paste and sout for 5 minutes . Add water and cover it to boil on low flame. Cook it until you get the desired thickness of gravy. Lastly mix 1 tsp ghee and turn off the flame.
Now Dum Aloo is ready to serve. Dum aloo can be served with plain basmati rice, jeera rice, plain paratha, lachha paratha, puri, naan or roti.
