Doi Maach ( Curd Fish )

Today I have brought for you Bengal's favorite curd-fish recipe.

1)Materials needed:

Ruhi fishes,

ginger paste,

onion paste,

ghee,

mustard oil,

besan,

bay leaves,

cloves,

cinnamon,

salt and sugar,

Curd(1 cup),

Garam-Masala.

2)Method:

1) First keep aside the pieces of fish with salt. In a bowl take curd and besan(for making the gravy thick ) . Add little salt, ginger paste, onion paste.  Mix well to make a paste(gola). Now heat the oil in the pan and fry the fish pieces. Do not fry them too much. Keep aside.

2)Add ghee with the remaining oil of the pan and put cinnamon, cardamom and cloves into it. Pour the paste (gola) into the pan. Remember that the colour the of curd-fish grevie will be completely white, it's not as red as the other gravies.

3)Add the fried fishes slowly in the gravy so that the soft fish should not break. Cover it and cook for two minutes. Sprinkle little spices(Garam Masala) in the end.

Now curd-fish is ready to eat. Try it to everyone else in the house by serving hot with rice.
